Nigel Tisdall's report on Safari in Zambia
Verzonden op 03.04.07
Zambia is a place for a serious safari, and until recently attracted relatively few visitors who relished its atmosphere of exploration and adventure. The country has a tradition of walking safaris, where instead of bumping around in a vehicle you march straight into the bush (with an armed guide) looking for hippos, elephants and anything of interest. It’s an exciting way to meet wild animals on their own terms, and in Zambia it often feels like nothing has changed since the days of Livingstone. The South Luangwa, Kafue and Lower Zambezi Parks all offer excellent game viewing, and there is the bonus that you can also visit Victoria Falls to see its mighty waters and indulge in adrenalin sports.
